Welcome to the Castleberry Circle Neighborhood! We are a CPR/AED Neighbor Helping Neighbor community with neighbors trained in CPR and AED who respond in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency. The first few minutes are critical to saving the patient's life as every minute delay in not providing help reduces by 10% a patient's likelihood of survival. You, your guests and visitors are all part of this community. When we call 911, a signal dispatches an emergency medical team from The Villages Fire and Rescue. If the 911 operator determines sudden cardiac arrest, the signal also goes to a service known as ReadyAlert which in turn signals our neighborhood responders to go to the patient's address. The Responders begin CPR and possibly AED. When Fire/Rescue arrives (within 6.7 minutes, 90% of the time), the professional EMTs take over. We have 2 AED devices in Castleberry Circle. If you have a sudden cardiac arrest in your home, please don't be surprised if Responders show up. Welcome them; they are there to help! The chance of survival Is enhanced by the CPR/AED Program and we encourage you and all neighbors to learn how to do CPR and to train in how to use the AED. You can find more information on the Castleberry Circle Club website, CPR/AED tab: ccctvf.website/Home.html Our Castleberry Circle CPR/AED Program was funded by a neighborhood initiative in the Spring of 2019. The funds have been used to purchase and install the AEDs, maintain the AEDs, pay for the Ready Alert subscriptions for our Responders and allow for future expenditures on items such as batteries. About 80% of Castleberry Circle households have contributed $100 to launch and support the program for its first four years and we hope that you will fund the program in the same amount. If you are willing to do so, please make out a check for $100 payable to CCNHN (Castleberry Circle Neighbor Helping Neighbor) and mail or deliver it to our Coordinator, Lonnie Levy, 788 Castleberry Circle, The Villages, FL 32162. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Lonnie at 352-751-4201.
